Abstract

This chapter deals with the brand names, uses, mode of action and side

effects of analgesics, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory drugs e.g. aspirin,

paracetamol and ibuprofen. A brief history of their discovery has also been discussed

in this chapter. Various synthetic methods have shown here along with the relevant

chemistry. This involves industrial method, green technology and asymmetric

synthesis.
