Anastasios Economou received a BSc in Chemistry from the University of Athens, Greece and MSc and PhD in Analytical Chemistry and Chemical Instrumentation from UMIST, UK. He has held postdoctoral positions in the Department of Instrumentation and Analytical Science, UMIST, UK, the Laboratoty of Analytical Chemistry, Department of Chemistry, University of Athens, Greece and the Athens Wine Institute, National Agricultural Research Foundation, Greece. He is currently an Associate Professor in Analytical Chemistry and Chemical Instrumentation in the Department of Chemistry, University of Athens, Greece. His research interests include electrochemical sensors and biosensors, analytical chemiluminescence, automated methods of analysis and instrumentation, as well as separation techniques. He has published more than 110 articles in refereed journals and has co-authored several book chapters.
Maroula G. Kokotou is Assistant Professor of Instrumental Analysis and Organic Chemistry in the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition at the Agricultural University of Athens, Greece. She received BSc in Chemistry from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) and MSc on "Study of Natural Products" (Agricultural University of Athens) and on ''Chemical Analysis–Quality Control'' (NKUA). She obtained her PhD degree in the Laboratory of Analytical Chemistry (NKUA, 2014). She has worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Pharmacology, School of Medicine, University of California San Diego (UCSD) under Prof. Edward A. Dennis.
Paula B. Andrade, PhD, is the Head of Laboratory of Pharmacognosy in the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Porto University, where she teaches “Phytochemistry and Pharmacognosy” and “Bioactivity of Natural Matrices” subjects. She is a senior researcher of the Associated Laboratory REQUIMTE/LAQV, heading the Natural Products group. She has more than 25 years of research experience in the field of pharmaceutical sciences. Her current research interests are metabolomics (primary and secondary metabolites) and bioactivities (anti-inflammatory and neuroprotection) of natural matrices, including both terrestrial and marine organisms. She has authored more than 300 publications indexed in international journals.
Olivier received his Ph.D. in life Sciences from the University of Angers France. He previously gained experience in the analytical field at GSK Stevenage where he implemented analytical methods for the quantification of peptide in biological fluids and at Nestlé Lausanne (CH) where he developed methods for vitamins and natural ingredients analysis in food stuffs. Then he joined Novartis Institute for Tropical Diseases (Singapore) as the bioanalytical laboratory head. Then as Senior Investigator in DMPK he developed methods for the analysis of large and small molecules in biological matrixes. Dr. Olivier has published several analytical papers in the field of analytical chemistry.
Dr. Jouyban is a Pharm.D. graduate of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences, Tabriz, Iran. He obtained his Ph.D. in pharmaceutical analysis from Bradford University, Bradford, UK in 2001 and now is director of Pharmaceutical Analysis Research Center and Head of Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department. Dr Jouyban has published more than 375 papers in peer reviewed journals, a handbook and four book chapters. He is a member of National Board of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and National Institute for Medical Research Development, Iranian Ministry of Health and Medical Education.
Sibel A. Ozkan is presently working as a Full Professor of Analytical Chemistry at Ankara University, Faculty of Pharmacy. She has been involved in several analytical chemistry projects related to electroanalytical chemistry and separation techniques on drug active compounds and DNA–Drug interactions. Her research interests included analysis of pharmaceuticals by using different analytical techniques. She has published more than 200 original and review papers and two scientific books from HNB Publishing, (2012) and Springer (2015). She is the Editor and Editorial Board Member of many journals.
Professor Sanjay Garg is the Director of the Centre for Pharmaceutical Innovation and Development (CPID), at the University of South Australia, Adelaide. He is a pharmaceutical scientist with a passion for research and teaching in translational drug development and delivery. His interdisciplinary research is based on the principles of innovation, engagement and translation. With the research team, Prof Garg has published 152 peer reviewed papers, 33 patents, 22 book chapters, edited four books, and completed technology transfers for six products. He has supervised 187 research scholars at levels ranging from early career researchers to undergraduates and including 15 completed and 6 current PhD students. In 2015, Prof Garg was honored with Australasian Pharmaceutical Science Association (APSA) Medal. Some other awards that he has received include Butland Award for Excellence in Research Supervision, Young Pharmacy Teacher of the Year, and Fellowship of the Indian Pharmaceutical Association.
Professor Hassan Y.Aboul-Enein is a Professor Emeritus at the Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry Department, National Research Center in Cairo, Egypt and the Chemistry Department. Professor Aboul-Enein is the author and co-author of over 1000 refereed published articles, 90 book chapters and more than 400 conference presentations. He has also authored and edited 8 books in the field of analytical chemistry. He is an edditorial board member of 22 journals including Current Pharmaceutical Analysis (Bentham Science Publishers) since 2005.
Dr. Fu is an Associated Professor of College of Materials and Environmental Engineering, Hangzhou Dianzi University. Dr. Fu received his PhD in Chemistry at Swinburne University of Technology (Australia). He is an author or co-author of about 100 original papers with more than 2000 citations in the field of Analytical Chemistry, Sensor and Material Sciences. Li also published 5 book chapters, 6 books and a translation book.
Dr. Pramod Kumar received Ph.D. degree from the Department of Pharmacy, School of Chemical Sciences and Pharmacy, Central University of Rajasthan, Ajmer, Rajasthan. India. Dr. Kumar has done B. Pharmacy, and M. Pharmacy (Quality Assurance) from Jaipur National University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. Dr. Kumar has done post-doctorate from Jamia Hamdard (Deemed to be University), New Delhi, India. He is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Analysis, National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Guwahati, Assam, India. Dr. Kumar research interests include Impurity profiling, Analytical Method development and validation, Analytical quality by design, Stability testing and Pharmacokinetic.
Prof. Mauro Tomassetti, did Master’s in Chemistry in 1969 and in Pharmacy in 1977. He is a Full Professor of Analytical Chemistry at the University of Rome 'La Sapienza' since 2003; and before that he was serving as Associate Professor since 1985 at the same University. He was a member of teaching staff of PhD in Engineering. His research interests are in the development of electrochemical sensors, biosensors and immunosensors working both in aqueous and organic solvents and in their application to environmental, biopharmaceutical and food analysis. He is also interested in thermal analytical studies (TG, DTA, DSC) for the purity control or the characterization of several materials (drugs, foodstuffs, polymers, etc.) and in the study and characterization of archaeological findings and cultural heritages, investigated by means of several instrumental techniques of chemical analysis. He is editorial board member of Current Analytical Chemistry and Current Pharmaceutical Analysis, and member of “Centro di ricerche applicate alla Protezione dell’Ambiente e dei Beni Culturali (CIABC). He is the author of about 506 papers, 243 of which are original research papers published in the international Journals, and about 460 communications to congress.
Prof. Bazylak received Ph.D. in Food Chemistry from the Technical University of Lodz (Poland) and D.Sc. (habilitation) in Pharmacy from the Medical University of Gdansk (Poland). He worked as post-doc in the Medical University of Lodz (Poland) and the University of Antwerp (Belgium). From 2004 he is working as an Associate Professor and Head of Pharmaco-Bromatology and Molecular Nutrition at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Collegium Medicum, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Bydgoszcz (Poland). He has published more than 150 scientific publications, edited the 12 special topic issues of international scholary journals and is a member of Polish Herbal Committee, German Society for Medicinal Plants & Natural Products Research and Human Proteome Organization (USA).
Dr. Haginaka is a professor of School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Mukogawa Women’s University, Nishinomiya, Japan. Prof. Haginaka obtained a Ph. D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Kyoto University. He is an author or co-author of about 300 original papers, review articles or book chapters in the field of Analytical Chemistry and Separation Sciences. His main research interests include: preparation and application of protein-based stationary phases; preparation and application of molecularly imprinted polymers. Prof. Haginaka has been an Editor of Journal of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis published by Elsevier since 2002.
Dr. W Jeffrey Hurst, RFAIC, DAAIM is a retired Principal Scientist of the Hershey Company. He is a member of the External Advisory Board of the Tobacco Center of Regulatory Science at the Hershey Medical Center, a member of the External Advisory Board of the University of Illinois-Chicago NIH Botanical Center and Serves as Research Associate Prof of Archaeology at the University of New Mexico. He has published a number of articles in Nature and Proceedings of the National Academy of Science.
Abubakr M. Idris, is a full professor of analytical chemistry at King Khalid University. Idris has authored & coauthored > 60 papers published in ISI-indexed journals and presented > 30 communications in international refereed conferences. He is also Editor-In Chief of two journals and has joined more than 5 journals as Editorial Board Member. Idris’s research focuses on developing pharmaceutical assay methods as well as environmental monitoring and assessment. Recently, Idris has led a research team on developing new certified reference materials with international collaborations with > 20 labs across the world. Idris is also an expert in curriculum development, accreditation and quality standards in higher education.
Giuseppina Ioele is an Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, at the University of Calabria. The research activity is focused on the field of the analytical pharmaceutical chemistry, particularly in the design of photo-stabilizing pharmaceutical systems applied on photosensitive drugs and in the development of advanced methods for the analysis of multicomponent pharmaceutical systems and for the quality assurance of drugs. The design of photostabilizing pharmaceutical systems is applied on antihypertensives of the 1,4-dihydropyridinic series and on anti-inflammatory drugs as diclofenac, to improve the stability of liquid and semisolid formulations, respectively.
Jurisic Vladimir, MD, PhD is a professor of Physiopathology at the University of Kragujevac, Faculty of Medical Sciences, Serbia. He studied Medicine at the University of Belgrade, Medical faculty (Serbia) and was trained in internal medicine from the same University. He (co-) authored more than 120 articles in peer reviewed international journals, national journals, and several chapters in international and national books in hematology, molecular medicine and oncology. He presented several lectures at International conference and received several grants including ESMO, EACR, Interferone and Citokine Societies, UNESCO.
Nikos K. Karamanos is a Professor of Biochemistry & Organic Biochemical Analysis at the University of Patras. He is an Advisory board member of FEBS Journal, Associate editor of Matrix Biology and editorial/advisory board member and academic editor of several peer-review journals. Dr. Karamanos is the chairman of the series of the Advanced Lecture Courses in Matrix Pathobiology, Signaling and Molecular Targets, and editor of the International book edition: Extracellular Matrix: Pathobiology & Signaling, Berlin/Boston. His interests involve matrix pathobiology, cell signaling, cell functional properties, pharmacological targeting, preclinical evaluation/cytotoxicity and structure analysis with particular emphasis on the role of proteoglycans, glycosaminoglycans and matrix metalloproteinases in cancer.
Prof. Hassan Karimi-Maleh received his PhD degree in Chemistry from the Isfahan University of Technology, Iran in 2011. He is a highly cited researcher selected by clarivate analytics 2018 (cross filed) and 2019 (Agriculture filed). He has published more than 227 research papers (JCR papers) with more than 12170 citations and an H-index of 68. He is editorial board member of more than 20 international journals, such as Ecotoxicology and Environmental Safety (Elsevier, IF 4.527) and as reviewer for high quality journals such as ACS, RSC, ELSEVIER, SPRINGER, WILEY.. He works as professor in the school of Resource and Environment, University of Electronics Science and Technology of China (UESTC). He also works as adjust Professor at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. He is a leader of nanostructure nanobiosensors in Ton Duc Thang University, Vietnam.".
Dr. Sevinç KURBANOĞLU did her Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Ankara University, Faculty of Pharmacy, Dept. of Analytical Chemistry, Nanobioelectronics & Biosensors Group at Institut Català de Nanociencia iNanotecnologia (ICN), Barcelona, Spain. Since 2011, she is a Research and Teaching Assistant at Ankara University, Faculty of Pharmacy, Department of Analytical Chemistry, Ankara, Turkey. She has numerous internationally recognized publications to her credit.
Dr. Yuehe Lin is a professor in School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering, Washington State University (WSU). He also holds a joint appointment at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), conducts research in nanotechnology, particularly development of small-scale devices, materials and analytical systems for biomedical diagnosis, drug delivery and energy and environmental applications. He has ~400 publications with a total citation about 33,000 and h-index 95. He was listed in Thomson Reuters’s highly-cited researchers in 2014, 2015 and 2016. Dr. Lin has over 10 patents. Half of the patents have been licensed to industrial partners for commercialization. He is a fellow of AAAS, Royal Society of Chemistry, and American Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering.
Dr. Nile is working as an Associate Professor and his job profile is to do research and teaching. He conducts research projects related to biotechnology, food chemistry, biochemistry, phytochemistry, biotechnology, phytomedicine, and pharmacology. Besides, he has also supervised master’s and Ph.D. student from the University.
Prof. Ondarza is a Professor of Biochemistry in the Faculty of Medicine, Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico, UNAM and Medical Researcher, Center of Research on Infectious Diseases, National Institute of Public Health. He did Doctor in Biology (Biochemistry) from the Faculty of Sciences, UNAM, 1963. He is a Fellow of John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation, 1963 Doctor Honoris causa, Universite du Paris Xlll, Republique Francaise, Ministere de l'Education Nationale, Academie de Creteil, 1984. He remained a Visiting Professor at four occasions, at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, University of California, San Diego at La Jolla, California, during his sabbatical years, 1964, 1982, 2002, 2005 and a Visiting Researcher in the Department of Chemistry, University of California, San Diego, at La Jolla, 1986. He has 50 scientific publications and 16 books to his credit.
Bengi USLU is currently a Professor in Ankara University Faculty of Pharmacy, Department of Analytical Chemistry, in Turkey. Her areas of interest are electrochemistry, biosensors, nanosensors biotechnology, liquid chromatography, drug analysis, biological sample analysis, redox mechanisms of drugs, spectrophotometry, validation, separation techniques, method development, research and development. She has published as author or co-author of more than 150 scientific articles and publications. She received in 2008, Ankara University Scientific Support Award, in 2014 Ankara University Scientific Award and in 2015 Academy of Pharmacy Science Award of Turkish Pharmaceutical Association. She has been Co-editor of special issues and reviewer of many scientific journals. She has many chapters in books and translated books.
Dr. Khaldun Mohammad Al Azzam obtained his PhD in analytical chemistry in 2011 and furthers his post doctoral as well during 2011–2012 from the School of Chemical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Penang, Malaysia. Dr. Al Azzam was working as assistant professor of analytical chemistry at the faculty of Pharmacy, Batterjee Medical College for Sciences and Technology, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia (29/09/2013 – 30/06/2016). Currently, he is working at Al-Ghad International Medical Sciences College. Dr. Al Azzam was a visiting Scientist & invited speaker at chemistry department/Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
Mr. Shivsharan B. Dhadde is serving as an Assistant Professor at DSTS Mandal’s College of Pharmacy, Solapur. His research interests are Meta-Analysis of pharmacological agents and evaluation of drugs for neurological, cardiovascular and metabolic disorders. He is serving as Editorial Board Member and Reviewer for many reputed journals. Mr. Dhadde has more than 7 years of teaching and research experience. He worked as a resource person in more than six national and international workshops/conferences. Mr. Dhadde has presented scientific posters at national (04) and international (06) levels. There are 20 Journal articles with a cumulative impact factor of 33.818 to his credit.
