Publishes original research articles, letters, reviews/mini- reviews and guest edited thematic issues on various topics related to Physical Education.

The section titled “Physical Education” of the journal Current Social Sciences aims to publish original research articles, letters, reviews/mini-reviews and guest-edited thematic issues on various topics related to the sciences of physical activity and sports. Scientifically based works of a quantitative, qualitative and mixed nature that help to delve into the various dimensions of physical activity and sports sciences, such as education, health, management, training, history, global sporting events, social theory of exercise, sport, physical culture, (physically active) body, and body image, encourage to stimulate further research, critical thinking, and theory development on topics ranging from global professional sport, coaching, commercial exercise/fitness, and physical activity to education and recreation.

This section is not limited to a specific aspect of the field but is devoted to a wide range of sub- fields. Articles of interdisciplinary nature are particularly welcome. Basic theoretical developments, applications, case studies, novel approaches and processes, and empirical research are among the topics covered in the papers. Submissions in the following areas are of special interest to the readers of this journal:

Dr. Pedro Gil Madrona is a Professor at the Faculty of Education of Albacete, University of Castilla- La Mancha, SpainMaster of Primary Education, Master of Physical Education, Bachelor of Science in Education and PhD with extraordinary doctorate award by the UNED (Madrid). Honorable Mention in the national prizes for educational research in 1998. Third Regional Research Prize (Castilla La Mancha, School Director and currently Associate Professor at the Faculty of Education of Albacete, Spain). in the Evaluation of Programs, Infant, Primary, Secondary Education and University in topics related to multiculturality, education in values, social skills, physical education and its contribution to child development from the point of view of parents, teachers and students, education physical and learning styles, physical education and body image, physical education and emotional development, physical education and obesity. He participated in more than 20 regional and national research projects (Spain) and 1 international research in Colombia, participated in more than 50 national conferences and international as a speaker and lecturer on intercultural education and multiculturalism. More than 100 articles in prestigious Journals, 30 of them in ISI-JCR and Scopus Journal. 1 Patent. He is author, co-author and director of more than 20 books, reviewer of articles in ISI-JCR journals and member of the editorial committee and scientist of several magazines.
