Mobile Learning
Publishes original research articles, letters, reviews/mini- reviews and guest edited thematic issues on various topics related to Mobile Learning.
The Mobile Learning section of Current Social Sciences welcomes research papers on pedagogical uses of mobile technologies, where the focus is broad enough to be of interest to a broader education community. We also welcome: (1) systematic review papers and meta-analyses that include straightforward research questions, a framework of analysis, and conclusions that reflect the paper's aims; (2) studies that focus on teaching and learning in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) and educational robotics; (3) studies that address specific challenges in improving students’ achievement, approaches used to motivate and engage students, and lessons learned from changes in curriculum and instruction based on educational technology in general.
This section is not limited to a specific aspect of the field but is instead devoted to a wide range of sub-fields in the area. Articles of interdisciplinary nature are particularly welcome. Submissions in the following areas are of special interest to the readers of this journal:

Dr. Stamatis Papadakis has been a postdoctoral researcher in Educational Technology, with emphasis on mobile learning, from the Department of Preschool Education at the University of Crete, Greece since 2016. He graduated from the Department of Informatics, Athens University of Economics and Business, Athens, Greece. In 2006, he completed a master's degree (M.Ed.) in Pre-school Education and Educational Design at the University of Aegean, Rhodes, Greece at the School of Humanities, Department of Pre-school Education. In 2016, he completed a Ph.D. at the University of Crete, Department of Education in Rethymnon, Greece. He has worked as an adjunct lecturer in Education teaching Didactics in Programming (2017-2018) in the Department of Computer Sciences, School of Sciences and Engineering at the University of Crete, Greece.His scientific and research interests include the study of mobile learning, especially on the use of smart mobile devices and their accompanying mobile applications (apps) in the use of Preschool and Primary Education, focusing on the development of Computational Thinking and students' understanding of numbers. Furthermore, he currently investigates how a STEM learning approach influences learning achievement through a context-aware mobile learning environment in the preschool classroom and to explain the effects on preschoolers' learning outcomes.
