Dr. Ing. Rene Kizek obtained his Ph.D. degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Masaryk University. He is the Team leader, key person, coordinator and joint applicant of one of the EU projects and many national projects. His research interests mainly lie in the subject areas of Molecular Biology, Bioelectrochemistry, Biosensors, Biochemistry, Metallomics, Biochemistry of thiol compounds, Nanotechnology; Nano medicine. He is an author/co-author of 280 papers published in ISI indexed journals book and received more than 5 patents
Dr. Jianhui Huang obtained his Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of York, UK under the guidance of Professor Peter A. O’Brien in 2006. He then moved to the University of Sheffield/GSK for a postdoctoral study before starting his independent research in 2010, he joined the faculty as an Associate Professor of Medicinal Chemistry in the School of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology at Tianjin University. He has been a full Professor since 2017. The research in the Huang group covers medicinal chemistry, semi-synthesis as well as synthetic methodology development. Professor Huang has authored over 50 publications and received the “Thieme Chemistry Journal Award” in 2017.
Dr. Donghao Li is a professor in the Chemistry Department of Yanbian University. He received his M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry in 1992 from Yanbian University in China and a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry in 2002 from Konkuk University in Korea. After graduation, he was a post doctor at Korea Ocean Research and Development Institute (KORDI), Korea until 2005, and then he joined the faculty of the Department of Chemistry at Yanbian University in China. He is also serving as a director of Key Laboratory of Natural Resource (Changbai Mountain) and Functional Molecular (Yanbian University), Ministry of Education, China.
Dr. Pei Li received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2001 and 2004 respectively. Later on, Dr. Li obtained his Ph.D. degree from University of Toledo in Ohio, USA, in 2010. In 2013, he joined College of Materials Science and Engineering at Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Beijing, China, as an Associate Professor and is currently working there. Dr. Li has published over 50 articles in the areas of gas separation membranes, nanofiltration, electrospinning, pervaporation, and forward osmosis.
Dr. Jialei Liu obtained his Ph.D. degree (2010) in organic chemistry from University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China. He is now working as an Associate Researcher in Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Science. His research area involves synthesis of organic conjugated functional small molecules and their application in optics, electronics, and drugs. So far, he has published more than 85 SCI academic peer-reviewed papers and more than 15 patents as co-inventor.
Dr. Xianbo Lu is currently a Professor at Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics (DICP), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He received his Ph.D. in 2007 from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). He worked at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) as a Visiting scholar during 2013-2014. His current research interests focus on environmental analysis and detection technology, such as, sensors, biosensors, analytical nanomaterials for rapid screening, detection of environmental pollutants, and other important targets, environmental mass spectrometry for trace analysis, etc. As a distinguished professor, Dr. Lu has received many awards.
Dr. Sonil Nanda is a Research Associate in the Department of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Western Ontario in London. He completed his Ph.D. from York University Toronto. He has been working as a postdoctoral fellow at premier Canadian Universities including York University, the University of Saskatchewan, and the University of Western Ontario for the last six years. His research areas are in the production of advanced Biofuels and Biochemicals from organic wastes and renewable biomass through gasification, pyrolysis and fermentation involving green catalysis and environmental friendly processes. He has published more than 60 research papers.
Prof. Haisheng Peng works as a dean in the Department of Pharmaceutics at Harbin Medical University, where he teaches courses of Chinese herbal formulation, Pharmaceutics and pharmacokinetics, and Drug discovery. He finished his first Postdoctoral training in Cardiovascular Pharmacology from Harbin Medical University in 2011, and second Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Iowa State University in 2014. He got his Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Harbin Medical University in 2008. Prof. Peng has published more than 50 peer-reviewed papers in top journals of the Pharmaceutics including Biomaterials, Journal Biomedicine Nanotechnology, and Journal of Controlled.
Dr. Shaoyong Ke is an Associate Professor in the National Biopesticide Engineering Research Center (NBERC). His research interests include the application of target-oriented and diversity-oriented syntheses of small molecules for drug discovery, and natural products-oriented discovery of novel active molecules as lead compounds for development of agrochemicals or drugs. He has published more than 50 peer-reviewed journal articles/book chapters in the field of medicinal chemistry and pesticidal chemistry. Dr. Ke has served the scientific community as an editorial board member for three journals and as a reviewer for more than 25 journals.
Dr. Yinyong Sun received his B.S. and Ph.D. (2004) from Department of Chemistry at Jilin University, China. Then, he worked at University of Strasbourg in France, Pohang University of Science and Technology, and Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Switzerland for his postdoctoral work from 2004 to 2008. In 2009, he joined School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Harbin Institute of Technology, China. He is interested in synthesis and applications of porous materials including: zeolites, mesoporous silica materials and metal-organic frameworks.
Dr. Luping Zhu received his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D degree in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Physical Chemistry from Hubei Normal University, HuaZhong Normal University, and Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). In July 2008, he joined in Shanghai Polytechnic University, School of Environment and Materials Engineering, as an Associate Professor. He worked in International Center for Materials Nanoarchitectonics, National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), Japan, as a guest-researcher. His current research interest includes: controlled fabrication of novel semiconductor nanostructures and energy conversion devices like solar cells and PEC water splitting, etc.
Prof. Suresh C. Ameta obtained his Master’s Degree from University of Udaipur and was awarded Gold Medal-1970. He secured First position in M. Phil-1978 in Vikram University, Ujjain (M. P.). He also obtained Ph. D degree from this University in 1980. He has served as Professor & Head, Department of Chemistry, North Gujarat University Patan (1994) and M. L. Sukhadia University, Udaipur (2002-2005) & Head, Department of Polymer Science (2005- 2008). He also served as Dean, P.G. Studies for a period of four years (2004-2008). Now, he is serving as Dean, Faculty of Science, PAHER University, Udaipur. Prof. Ameta has occupied the coveted position of President, Indian Chemical Society, Kotkata (2000-2001) and is now lifelong Advisor (2002-continue). He is also reviewer of number of International Journals. Prof. Ameta has an experience of around 48 years of Teaching and Research.
Dr. Luigi Campanella got his Ph.D. degree at Sapienza University in 1967.He became full professor of Analytical Chemistry and of Environmental and Cultural Heritage Chemistry at Sapienza University, where he also assumed the position of Dean of Science Faculty. He received national and international prizes. He was President of Italian Chemical Society in the period 2008-2011. He is author of seven textbooks and about 500 papers in the fields of Environmental Chemistry, of Sciences Applied to Protection of Cultural Heritage, of Electrochemistry, of Analytical chemistry.
Dr. Liang Chen received his PhD degree in 2017 from the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Hunan University. He is currently an Associate Professor in the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Hunan Institute of Science and Technology. His research interest mostly focuses on advanced energy storage materials and electrocatalysis, including a lithium-ion battery, lithium-sulfur battery, oxygen reduction reaction, oxygen evolution reaction, and so forth. He was selected as the “Outstanding Chinese and Foreign Youth Exchange Program of China Association of Technology” in 2019. Dr. Chen has published over 30 papers in different international journals as an author/co-author.
Dr. Dengjie Chen received his B.E. (2008) and Ph.D. (2013) from Nanjing Tech University (used to be Nanjing University of Technology), where he carried out his research on the development and optimization of perovskite-type materials for solid oxide fuel cells under the supervision of Prof. Zongping Shao. After that, he joined Francesco Ciucci’s group at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate in 2013. He joined Jinan University as an Associate Professor in 2015. His current research is focused on advanced electrocatalytic materials for electrochemical energy storage and conversion devices.
Dr. Laurent Désaubry is a CNRS research director at the University of Strasbourg in France and an adjunct professor at Tianjin University of Science and Technology (TUST) in China. He received a Ph.D. degree in medicinal chemistry from Strasbourg University in 1992. His research is focused on the medicinal chemistry of anticancer and cardioprotective agents targeting prohibitins and prokineticin receptor 1 (website: http://desaubry.u-strasbg.fr/).
Dr. Shou-Nian Ding is full Professor and PhD supervisor in School of chemistry and Chemical engineering, Southeast University, PR China. He worked as a postdoc in electrochemistry in DCM of Joseph Fourier University of Grenoble (France) in 2007- 2009. He has been engaged in the research work of nanomaterials and electrochemiluminescence (ECL) biosensors for more than ten years. By revealing new ECL mechanism, synthesizing novel ECL probe, and preparing enhanced ECL devices, his work provides the basic research for the development of novel solid-state ECL detector, biological sensor technology, and ECL imaging technology and promotes the application of new ECL device in medical detection and biochemical analysis. He has already published more than 80 academic papers in Anal.Chem. ACS Sensors, Commun. Chem., Bioelectron. Biosens., Chem. Eur. J., and other famous international journals. He has hosted tens of research projects from Ministry of Science and Technology of China, National Natural Science Foundation of China, Jiangsu Natural Science Foundation and etc. In light of the achievements made in the field of ECL sensor research, he was awarded Gilles Kahn Prize in 2012 from FFCSA. In 2016, he was appointed as young academic leader of Jiangsu province.
Dr. Khalid Z. Elwakeel, who holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Physical Chemistry; He has thirty-five research articles published in the international journals as well as three books. Elwakeel reviewed more than 350 research article for 73 international journals in the field of environmental research and also a member of the editorial board of some journals. Elwakeel is the Associate Professor of the environmental chemistry at Port Said University. Elwakeel is the recipient of the Egyptian Encouragement Prize in Chemical Sciences. Egyptian Academy of Scientific Research and Technology.
Dr. Chiara Fanali is an Associate Professor of Analytical Chemistry at the Departmental Faculty of Medicine and Surgery (Research unit of Food science and nutrition), Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome (Italy). Her research interests mainly concern the application of modern and innovative analytical techniques to the analysis and characterization of food bioactive compounds and peptides, proteins in biological fluids. Among techniques those that have been often employed are: high-performance liquid chromatography and nano-liquid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometers such as Ion Trap, single quadrupole, high-resolution Linear Ion trap-Orbitrap and time of flight. On February 2019, in Scopus database there are 82 documents with 1524 citations and H-index of 24.
Dr. Lian-Shun Feng obtained his Ph.D. degree from Tsinghua University in 2011, and then worked as postdoctoral researcher at Peking University. Currently, Dr. Lian-Shun Feng work in WuXi AppTec as a senior scientist, and supervise more than ten chemists. In 2017 and 2018, around 20 peer-reviewed SCI papers were published, and some of them were cited over 50 times in one year.
Dr. Ge received his Ph.D. degree in 2009 from Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Following eight-year working at Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, CAS, Dr. Ge joined in Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine as a full professor and vice dean of Institute of Interdisciplinary Medicine in 2017. His current studies are focused on the development of new techniques or bioanalytical methods for drugs and drug targets, as well as the applications of these techniques in drug discovery. Now he is the author/co-author of more than 130 publications in scientific journals, with the H-index of 23.
Dr. Meng Gu received his Ph.D. degree in materials science from the University of California Davis. His research focused on the growth and atomic-scale characterization of nanomaterials for energy applications, including batteries materials, and catalysis, oxide thin films, and metal‐oxide electronics. Dr. Gu is currently working as a core R&D materials scientist in the in the Dow Chemical company. He has 100 peer‐reviewed journals and meeting proceeding publications. His publications have been cited more than 3100 times, and are highlighted by U.S. DOE, PNNL, SLAC national lab, London Center for Nanotechnology, Imperial College London and other social media. Dr. Gu has been awarded the Albert CREWE award from the Microscopy Society of America in 2015 for his outstanding research in the area of microscopy and energy materials.
Dr. Yue-Wei Guo has obtained his Ph.D. from Naples University in 1997 and spent three years postdoctoral studies from both Istituto di Chimica Biomoleculare-CNR, Italy and Hokaido University,Japan from 1997 to 2000. He is the Professor of Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica-CAS since 2000 to present. He has published more than 360 papers in reputed peer-reviewed journals, authored more than 40 patents, co-edited 3 books and serving as editorial board members of several reputed national/international journals. He has won several academic prizes. In particular, he was recently awarded 2010 “Paul Scheuer Marine Biotechnology Prize”.
Dr. Amit K. Gupta is currently a Post-doctoral Fellow at University of Houston, Texas, USA. He obtained his Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from CSIR Central Drug Research Institute, India in 2014. His experience prior to joining to his current role includes exposure to the pharmaceutical industry as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist in the interdisciplinary computational chemistry team as well as Postdoctoral Fellow at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Ewha Woman's University in South Korea and University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, Texas, USA. Dr. Gupta’s research interest involves ligand and structure-based drug design against undruggable or allosteric targets. He combines molecular dynamics simulations with multi- conformer virtual screening of pocket-tailored compound libraries against binding pockets followed by biophysical and cell assays to discover novel lead compounds.
Dr. Huang is Vice Director of Hefei Institute of Intelligent Machines, Chinese Academy of Sciences. His team’s research interests focus on nanomaterials and environmental sensors. He completed his M.Sc. and Ph.D. studies at Wuhan University and the University of Science and Technology of China, respectively. Dr. Huang has been admitted a Member of The Royal Society of Chemistry. He was selected as the “Hundred Talents Program of Chinese Academy of Sciences”, and rated as “excellent” in the final review. He has published in excess of 100 papers and articles in refereed journals and recently co-authored the book Electrochemistry (RSC Publishing, UK).
Dr. Inamuddin is currently working as an Assistant Professor in Chemistry Department, Faculty of Science, King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He has extensive research experience in multidisciplinary fields of Analytical Chemistry, Materials Chemistry, and Electrochemistry. He has published 127 research articles in international journals of repute and 18 book chapters in knowledge-based book editions. He has published thirty-seven edited books for leading international publishers. He is serving as an Associate Editor for journals, such as, Environmental Chemistry Letter, Applied Water Science, Euro-Mediterranean Journal for Environmental Integration, Editorial Board Member for Scientific Reports-Nature, and editor for Eurasian Journal of Analytical Chemistry.
Dr. Josef Jampilek completed his PhD degree in Medicinal Chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Charles University (Czech Republic) in 2004. In 2004-2011, he worked in expert and managerial posts in the R&D Division of the pharmaceutical company Zentiva (Czech Republic). Prof. Jampilek deepened his professional knowledge at the Medicinal Chemistry Institute of the Heidelberg University (Germany) and at multiple specialized courses. In 2009, he became an Associate Professor of Medicinal Chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences Brno (Czech Republic). In 2017, he was designated as a Full Professor of Medicinal Chemistry by the President of the Slovak Republic. Prof. Jampilek has been working for several entities in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic. He is an author/co-author of more than 30 patents/patent applications, almost 200 peer-reviewed scientific publications, 7 university textbooks, 20 chapters in monographs, and many invited lectures at international conferences and workshops. He also received several awards for his scientific results, e.g., from Aventis, Elsevier, Willey, Sanofi, and FDA. Prof. Josef Jampilek obtained M.Sc. degree(Pharmacy) and PhD(Medicinal Chemistry) in 2000 and 2004 respectively.
Dr. Guohua Jiang was born in 1975, Zhejiang Province of China. He received his Ph.D. degree in polymer chemistry and physics from Zhejiang University in 2006. In the year 2006 to 2008, he worked as a post-doctoral researcher at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and University of Michigan, USA. After that, he worked in the Zhejiang Sci-Tech University to continue his academic career. Now, he is a professor at materials science and engineering of Zhejiang Sci-Tech University. His current research interests are focused on: (1) design and preparation polymer-based microneedles for transdermal delivery of drugs, (2) Preparation of smart composite films, hydrogels and bio-adhesive materials for wound closure, (3) preparation of high- performance electronic materials for supercapacitors.
Dr. Xiqun Jiang is currently a professor at Nanjing University, China. His current research interest is focused on polymers, biomacromolecules, biomaterials, and imaging probes. He has authored or co-authored more than 170 peer-reviewed articles, and 15 patents. He has awarded the first prize of natural science of Ministry of Education of CHINA in 2016, and outstanding young scholar funding of National Natural Science Foundation of China in 2006.
Dr. Tifeng Jiao is a professor and vice director of School of Environmental and Chemical Engineering, Yanshan University. He received his Ph.D. degree in physical chemistry from Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2006. Afterwards he worked at the Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 (France) as a Postdoctoral Associate of CNRS. Now his research interests focus on the preparation, assembly and applications of nanomaterials and nanocomposites. Up to now, he has published more than 110 SCI-indexed papers and acted as peer reviewers for more than 30 Journals as well as Guest Editors of several journals.
Prof. Chunya Li received his Ph.D. degree in 2005 from College of Chemistry and Molecular Sciences, Wuhan University, Wuhan, China. He has been a postdoctoral fellow at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University from 2009 to 2011. From 2014 to 2015, he has been a visiting scholar at Stanford University. Now he is a professor in College of Chemistry and Materials Science, South-Central University for Nationalities, Wuhan, China. He is interested in nanomaterials, molecularly imprinted technique, electro- and photo electrochemical sensing and solar cell.
Dr. Yue Li is a full professor at Institute of Solid State Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He received his Ph.D. in Condensed Matter Physics at Institute of Solid State Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2005. He worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow or Visiting Scientist in Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces, respectively after he got his Ph.D. degree. His research interests mainly focus on the fabrications, applications and sensors of metal micro/nano-structured arrays. He has published more than 100 papers in international journals including Chem. Soc. Rev., Coord. Chem. Rev., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., ACS Nano, Adv. Mater., Adv. Funct. Mater., Small, Acta Mater. etc. His publications have been cited more than 5000 and his H-index is 38.
Dr. Feng Liang earned his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry in 2003 at Wuhan University in China, and took his first faculty position at the same University in 2004. He moved to Arizona State University (USA) in 2006, where he was an assistant research scientist at the BioDesign Institute. In 2012, he joined Wuhan University of Science and Technology in China, where he is currently a ‘‘Xiang-Tao’’ Special Term Professor. His main research interests include: 1) Smart Molecules and Materials for Cancer Theranostics; 2) Bio and Chemical Sensors; 3) Recognition-based Single Biopolymer Sequencing.
Dr. Liu obtained a doctorate (Ph.D.) in Chemistry from Nankai University. Currently Dr. Liu is an Associate Professor in the Zhejiang University of Technology, College of Chemical Engineering and as Visiting Scientist of US Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Natural Product Centre. He has published more than 100 scientific papers and is a named inventor of more than 40 authorized CN patents. He is currently the editorial board of Letters in Drug Design & Discovery, Asian Journal of Chemistry, and Scholars Research Library.
Dr. Tong-Bu Lu (1964) obtained B.S. in 1988 and Ph.D. in 1993 under the supervision of Prof. Min-Yu Tan from Lanzhou University. After two years of postdoctoral fellowship at Sun Yat-Sen University, he joined the faculty at the same University, and became a professor in 2000. In 1998 and 2002, he worked as a postdoctor in F.A. Cotton’s group at Texas A and M University. He moved to Tianjing University of Technology in 2016. His research interest is crystal engineering, including macrocyclic chemistry, MOFs and pharmaceutical polymorphs and cocrystals. He has over 200 scientific publications, with H-index 43.
Dr. Huimin Ma is a Professor of Chemistry at the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Beijing. He received his B.Sc. in chemistry in 1983 at Shandong University and Ph.D. in analytical chemistry in 1990 from the Institute of Chemistry, CAS. After a 2-year postdoctoral research at Wuhan University, Dr. Ma returned to the Institute of Chemistry, CAS, where in 1999, he was promoted to full professor. He was granted a research fellowship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, and worked at Bremen University in Germany (1996-1997). In 2005, he was granted a research fund for Outstanding Young Scientists from the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Dr. Ma won the 1st prize from China Association for Instrumental Analysis. He has contributed more than 200 journal articles as well as 20 book chapters and reviews. Dr. Ma has been an invited lecturer at numerous national and international meetings, and is a member of the Editorial Board of several chemical and biological journals. His research interests focus on the design and synthesis of new spectroscopic probes and their analytical applications; bio spectroscopy and selective detection.
Dr. Yuanbing Mao is a professor of Chemistry at Illinois Institute of Technology. He received his B.Sc. degree from Xiangtan University, M.Sc. degree from Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Ph.D. degree from Stony Brook University. He has earned several awards, including Department of Defense Young Investigator Award and Outstanding Mentorship Award, and is a recipient of the DOE Visiting Faculty Program. As of today, he has published more than 140 peer-reviewed journal articles along with some book chapters and patents. His research interests include nanomaterials, solid-state science and nanoscience with expertise in optoelectronics, energy storage and conversion, and environmental remediation.
Dr. Akbar Mobinikhaledi is a Professor of Organic Chemistry in the Chemistry Department at The Arak University in Iran. He has done his B.Sc. in Chemistry and M.Sc. in Organic-inorganic Chemistry from University of Mazandaran. He completed his Ph.D. in 1998 from the University of Otagoin New Zealand and his Thesis was “Effects of Metal Coordination on Reactivity of Heterocyclic Compounds, for which he has received academic awards too. He is part of the Editorial Board of: International Journal of Chemical, Environmental and Pharmaceutical Research (IJCEPR), and his recent publications have been in the journals “Research on Chemical Intermediates”.
Dr. Naimi-Jamal received Ph.D. degree from Sharif University of Science and Technology, Iran. Presently, he is Professor in Organic Chemistry. He is/was a member of some scientific societies such as, Iranian Chemical Society (ICS), American Chemical Society (ACS), Verein Deutscher Ingenieure (VDI), and Iranian Polymer Society (IPS). He has authored/contributed in more than 78 ISI papers, so far.
Dr. Yoshio Okada obtained doctorate (Ph.D.) in Medicinal Chemistry from Kyoto University, Kyoto, Japan in 1969. The title of the thesis is “Total synthesis of monkeyβ-melanocyte stimulating hormone”. He was a Professor of the Department of Medicinal Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Kobe Gakuin University, Kobe Japan for more than 30 years and now is a Professor emeritus of Kobe Gakuin University. He has published more than 240 scientific publications.
Dr. Mashallah Rezakazemi received his BSc. and MSc. degrees in 2009 and 2011, respectively, both in Chemical Engineering, from the Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST), and his Ph.D. from the University of Tehran (UT) in 2015. Rezakazemi has served as Professor of the Faculty of Chemical and Materials Engineering at the Shahrood University of Technology since 2016. Dr. Rezakazemi’s research is in the general area of the water-energy nexus, CO2 capture, gas separation, desalination, to the service of the broad areas of learning and training. Rezakazemi has co-authored numerous highly cited journal publications, conference articles and book chapters. Dr. Rezakazemi has received major awards and grants from various funding agencies in recognition of his research. Dr. Lin XU received his Ph.D. degree in chemistry from East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) in 2012, under the supervision of Professor Xuhong Qian. Subsequently, he joined East China Normal University (ECNU) as an Assistant Professor and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2014. After two years (from 2015 to 2017) of postdoctoral research in Professor Jonathan Nitschke's group at University of Cambridge, he returned to ECNU and was promoted to professor in 2018. His research interests focus mainly on supramolecular self-assembly and fluorescence sensing. The group of Prof. Yan concentrates on the environmentally friendly catalysis based on nanomaterials and the research interests span in heterogeneous conversion of biomass and biomass-derived monomers into value-added chemicals and biofuels, electro catalytic energy conversion and storage, catalytic degradation of solid waste and heavy metals.
Dr. Jun Yin received his Bachelor Degree in 2002 and Ph.D. degree in 2007 from Central China Normal University (CCNU). He began his postdoctoral research at National University of Singapore before he joined the College of Chemistry, CCNU in 2010. Dr. Pavlos Zarogoulidis, M.D, MS.c, Ph.D., associate collaborator, Pulmonary Physician, 3rd Surgery Department, ``AHEPA`` University General, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Thessaloniki, Greece. He is also the director of the Pulmonary Department in the private clinic ``BIOCLINIC`` in Thessaloniki, Greece. Dr. Zhang received his Ph.D. degree in organic chemistry at Nankai University, China. Presently, he is a professor at Hebei Normal University and head of a research group for green chemistry. His current research interests are dedicated towards the development of new green solvents, new reagents and catalysts in organic synthesis. He has published around 100 scientific papers with H-index of 44 and total citations about 4400 times.
Dr. Chao Zhang earned his Ph.D. degree in Polymer Chemistry (2005) from Wuhan University, China, and had been working as postdoctoral fellow at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and the University of California, San Diego from 2006 to 2010. In 2010, Dr. Zhang joined the the School of Engineering at the Sun Yat-sen University (China) as an Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering; he currently serves as the Associate Dean of the School and the head of the Biomedical Engineering Program. Dr. Hany is one of the NACE membership. As a Researcher, his research focused on unraveling corrosion mechanisms and designing corrosion-resistant alloys and coatings. Synthesis of new inhibitors for steel pipelines, which may find application as eco-friendly corrosion inhibitors in acidizing processes in the petroleum industry. Dr. Nisar Ahmed received his Ph.D. (2012) from POSTECH, Korea, after which he stayed at the University of Zürich with a Novartis Fellowship and at the University of Bristol. Since 2017, he is a Marie Curie Research COFUND Fellow at Cardiff University. In 2018, he was appointed adjunct faculty at the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences, Pakistan. Dr. Ahmed has published 38 peer-review papers in the research field of synthetic organic methodology, organic electrochemistry, microflow technology, and bio-organic supramolecular chemistry.
Dr. Gomaa A. M. Ali is an Assistant Professor at the Chemistry Department, Faculty of Science, Al-Azhar University, Egypt. He has 12 years of experience working in the research area of Materials Science, Nanocomposites, Humidity Sensing, Graphene, Supercapacitors, Water Treatment and Drug Delivery. Dr Gomaa has published over 75 journal articles, as well as 5 book chapters on a broad range of cross‐disciplinary research fields including advanced multifunctional materials, nanotechnology, supercapacitor, water treatment, humidity sensing, biosensing, corrosion, drug delivery, and materials for energy applications. Dr. Amirhassan Amiri received his B.Sc. and Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad (Iran) in 2007 and 2012, respectively. His doctoral research focused on preparation of new coatings based sol-gel technique for solid-phase micro-extraction under the supervision of Pro. A. Sarafraz-Yazdi. In September of 2012, he joined the Faculty at the Hakim Sabzevari University at Sabzevar (Iran) as an Assistant Professor of Analytical Chemistry. Currently, his group is focused on development and evaluation of new coatings and nanostructured coatings for SPME and SPE.
Dr. Ahmed Barhoum is doing his Ph.D. from Faculty of Engineering, Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), Brussels, Belgium. Currently, he is a Lecturer of Nanotechnology at Faculty of Science, Helwan University. His research program as a Scientist is related to the synthesis of nanoparticles (single crystals, core-shell, etc.), nanofibers (membrane, electrodes), and thin films. He does research in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering and Physical Chemistry. Dr. Barhoum has published 60 plus articles (peer-reviewed) demonstrating different nanofabrication and surface functionalization techniques that can be adapted for the synthesis of nanoparticles, nanofibers and thin films.
Dr. Ahmet BILGIN is an Associate Prof at Dr. Department of Math and Science Education, Faculty of Education, Kocaeli University, Kocaeli, Turkey. Dr. Shien-Ping Feng is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering in the University of Hong Kong. He received his Ph.D. in chemical engineering from National Tsing-Hua University (2003–2008) and was a Postdoctoral Associate at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2009–2011) prior to joining the University of Hong Kong. Dr. Xuehua Ruan is currently working as an Associate Professor at Dalian University of Technology and Deputy Director at Liaoning Engineering Research Center for VOCs Control & Reclamation. Wangze Song received his B.S. degree in chemistry from Nankai University, where he worked in Professor Chi Zhang’s laboratory. He earned his M.S. degree in chemistry from Zhejiang University under the supervision of Professors Yanguang Wang and Ping Lu. He received his Ph.D. degree in 2016 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, working with Professor Weiping Tang. He is currently an Associate Professor at Dalian University of Technology. His group is interested in developing new synthetic methods, carbohydrate synthesis, and medicinal chemistry.
Dr. Abbaraju Venkataraman obtained his Ph.D. degree (1987) from University of Poona, India. Presently, he is a Professor of Chemistry, and Materials Science, at the Department of Chemistry, Gulbarga University, Gulbarga, India. His skills and expertise mainly lie in the subject areas/fields of Materials Chemistry, Materials Science, and Nano-Chemistry. Dr. Ning Wang’s research interests include Energy conversion, storage and their fundamental aspects of physics and chemistry. He is currently working as a Research Scientist at the Department of Materials Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology and as a Distinguished Professor at the Center for Green Innovation, University of Science and Technology Beijing.
Dr. Guofeng Wang received her M.S. degree in Physics from Northeast Normal University in 2005 and Ph.D. degree in Electronic Science and Engineering from Jilin University in 2008. She joined the research group of Professor Yadong Li as a Postdoctoral Associate in 2009. She worked in Heilongjiang university since 2010. Dr. Ruiyong Wang, Ph.D., is currently serving as Professor at the College of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering, Zhengzhou University, Zhengzhou, China. Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility (SSRF, Shanghai Advanced Research Institute, CAS) as an
advanced beam scientist of X-ray diffraction station (BL14B1). His current research focuses on
interface physics of perovskites solar cells, perovskites light-emitting diode, spin-
optoelectronic devices, and the development of Synchrotron-based in-situ techniques. Dr. Yang is

Dr. X. Jin is presently serving as a Professor at the department of Environmental Science and Engineering in Beijing University of Chemical Technology, China. He obtained Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from The University of New South Wales, Australia. He has contributed his valuable publications in different journals. He is also a journal reviewer in Environmental Science and Technology, Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Research, Journal of Membrane Science, Chemical Engineering Science, Separation and Purification Technology, Chemical Engineering Journal, Biochemical Engineering Journal, Journal of Food Engineering, Desalination, Hydrometallurgy, and Analytical Chemistry.
Dr. Liqun Ye works at China Three Gorges University. He got Ph.D. degree in chemistry from Wuhan University (2008-2013) and worked in professor PK Wong's group as a Research Assistant at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (2015-2016). His current research interest is to develop efficient photocatalytic approaches to solar energy conversion and utilization. He led a research group and has published over 100 professional papers with cited more than 4000 times.
Dr. Balal Yousaf currently works as an Assistant Professor/Associate Researcher at the School of Earth and Space Sciences, University of Science and Technology of China, Hefei in (Anhui) China. He has an academic background in Environmental Geochemistry & Pollution combined with a practical work experience in Biochar Science. His research interests include Soil and Water Remediation, Transformation Mechanism, and Fate of Environmental Contaminants, Minerals Interaction with Environmental Contaminants, Green Synthesis, Bio-waste Conversion, Bioenergy, and Environmental Pollution Control. He is particularly interested in how “modifications and advancements in pyrolyzed feed materials affect the product characteristics during thermochemical conversion and/or its Environmental Applications.”
Dr. Tarek Ahmed Yousef is an Associate prof of Inorganic chemistry, Department of Chemistry, Science College, Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, (IMSIU), Riyadh, KSA. He is a reviewer for some of international journals. He is Co-supervised three master students and one Ph.D student. His main research interests are in the field of inorganic synthesis of metal complexes of pharmaceutical interest, molecular modelling and medicinal chemistry.
Professor Jin-Gang Yu obtained his Ph. D. degree in Chemistry (Applied Chemistry) from Central South University, China in 2008 and became an Associate Professor and a Professor in College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Central South University, China in 2012 and 2017, respectively. He is also a Guest Professor in College of Science, Hunan Agricultural University, China. His research focuses on nanoscience and nanotechnology, chiral separation and electrochemistry, separation and enrichment, fabrication of composites and their application. Professor Yu is the author and co-author of more than 200 scientific papers. He was elected as an Outstanding Youth of Hunan Province in 2016. He was also elected as a member of Training Program for the Young-Backbone Teachers in Universities of Hunan Province in 2016.
Bing Yu received Bachelor's degree (2009) from Central China Normal University, China, and obtained his Ph.D. (2014) from Nankai University, China. He then moved to Beijing Institute of Technology (2014-2016), Seoul National University (2015-2016) and Tokyo Institute of Technology (2016-2017) as a postdoctoral researcher. He joined Zhengzhou University in 2017. His research interest is developing novel approaches for green and efficient organic synthesis.
Dr. Zhiqin Yuan obtained his Ph.D. degree from the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Hunan University, in 2013 with Dr. Yan He and Dr. Edward S. Yeung. He is currently an Associate Professor of State Key Laboratory of Chemical Resource Engineering, Beijing University of Chemical Technology. He has published more than 40 papers in peer-reviewed SCI journals. His research interests are focused on syntheses, optical property evaluation and analytical application of metal nanoparticles, metal nanoclusters, carbon nanodots, and layered nanomaterails.
Dr. Yuanhao Wang obtained his Ph.D. degree (in 2011) in Photovoltaics from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Currently, Dr. Wang is serving as a Professor and Ph.D. Supervisor at Xinjiang Technical Institute of Physics & Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. His main research interests include the following: Nanomaterial for green building, Solar energy material and solar cells, and Lithium battery material and devices. Dr. Wang has published over 80 manuscripts and his documents have received citations greater than 700.
Dr. Xiaoming Zeng obtained his Ph.D. degree (in 2009) in Organic Chemistry from the Department of Chemistry, Sichuan University, Chengdu, China. Dr. Zeng is currently working as a Professor in the College of Chemistry at Sichuan University. His research interests lie in the following areas: (1) Development of low-valent Cr-catalyzed reactions for molecule synthesis, and (2) Exploration of the ligand behavior of cyclic mono(amino)carbenes (CMAC) and development of CMAC-Cr-catalyzed organic reactions. Dr. Zeng, as an author/co-author, has published more than 40 articles in various journals, having over 1,670 total citations.
Dr. Ruizhong Zhang received her PhD degree under direction of Prof. Wei Chen in Analytical Chemistry from Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry (CIAC), Chinese Academy of Sciences. She was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Western Ontario under Prof. Zhifeng Ding and is currently an Associate Professor of Chemistry at Tianjin University. Her research interests include the design and synthesis of functional nanomaterials and nanostructures, as well as their applications in electrochemiluminescence, electrocatalysis and electroanalysis.
Dr. Zhang obtained his Ph.D. in Materials Science from Sichuan University, China, in 2012. Currently, he is an Associate Professor at the Polymer Research Institute, Sichuan University, China. Dr. Zhang’s research mainly focuses on biopolymers, particularly the nanomaterials from renewable resources, such as, cellulose nanofibers, chitin whiskers, etc. The extraction of cellulose nanofibers and their applications in green nanocomposites, energy storage, water treatment, and tissue engineering have been the active topics in his research group.
Dr. Z. Zhang He is an Associated Professor at State Key Laboratory of Photocatalysis on Energy and Environment, Fuzhou University. His research interests focus mainly on the heterogeneous photocatalysis, including water splitting, CO2 conversion, CH4 transformation, and environmental purification, and he has published more than 50 scientific articles.
Dr. Changchun Zhou is an Associate Professor at Sichuan University and master's tutor in Biomedical Engineering. He received Ph.D. degree from Sichuan University in 2011, he was a joint Ph.D. student at the University of Washington (2008-2009) and the University of Texas at Austin (2009-2010). He has published more than 40 scientific papers; more than 20 papers are the first author or the corresponding author. He has applied 25 Chinese national patents, among of which 10 patents have been authorized.
Dr. Maiyong Zhu obtained his Ph.D. in 2011 from Yangzhou University, Yangzhou, China. At present, Dr. Zhu is serving as Associate Professor at the School of Materials Science & Engineering, Jiangsu University, Zhenjiang, China. His research interests include the following: synthesis, functionalization, and application of metal oxide nanomaterials; conducting polymers and their related materials; carbon-based materials for energy storage application; and, metal-organic frameworks and their derivatives. Dr. Zhu, as an author/co-author, has published more than 40 articles in various journals, having more than 1,410 total citations.
Dr. Min Zhu did her M.S. and Ph.D. in Material Physics and Chemistry at Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Science (CAS), Shanghai, China (from 2008 to 2012). Currently, Dr. Zhu is an Associate Professor, in the School of Material Science and Engineering, at University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, Shanghai, China. Her current research areas of interest include Mesoporous ceramics based biomaterials for bone tissue engineering and drug delivery systems, and the study involving 3D printing of bioceramics and their composites for tissue repair. Dr. Zhu, as an author/co-author, has published a number of manuscripts in various national and international journals.
Prof. Qi-Long Zhu has published more than 70 papers with over 4200 citations (H-index 29). His main research interest is in the development of crystalline porous and nanostructured materials, crossing coordination chemistry and nanoscience, for energy-/environment-related applications. Currently, he is a full Professor in the Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Fuzhou, China.
Dr Kun Cai obtained his bachelor degree in 1999, Lanzhou University, China. His Ph.D. was completed in 2008, Dalian University of Technology, China. In 2015, he was employed as a full Professor by Northwest A&F University, China. He worked at the Australian National University for over two years. Currently, he works as RMIT University, Australia. His research interests include composite design by topology optimization, design of low-dimensional materials by MD/first principles calculations, design of nanomotor/nanobearing.
Jin cheng works in New United Group Company Limited. Research in the Jin group focuses on the development of new reaction methods for organic synthesis, materials science. Moreover, they protest the enterprise intellectual property rights. Two projects are in progress: 1) Research and Development of Novel High Impact Strength Epoxy Vinyl Ester Resin. 2) Visible Light Photocatalysis. His research group focus on the transition-metal-free, visible- light-mediated cyclization of o-azidoarylalkynes with aryl diazonium salts, transition-metal-free, visible-light induced cyclization of arylsulfonyl chlorides with o-azidoarylalkynes: a regiospecific route to unsymmetrical 2,3- disubstitutedindoles, acylation of indoles via photoredox catalysis: a route to 3- acylindoles, direct alkylheteroarylation of alkenes via photoredox mediated C–H functionalization.
Dr. Fang Li has been active in waste water treatment research for over 10 years, dealing primarily with membrane separation, treatment, and reuse of textile waste water. His work is focused on the membrane fouling mechanisms and membrane fabrication or modification. A second major research effort has dealt with textile industry, including environmental management, technology assessment, waste water treatment and reuse. A third area of research activity has been on the transport mechanism in nano-material polymer composite understanding the trace of permeate. Dr. Li has served as the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs in the College of Environmental Science and Engineering of Donghua University since 2015. He oversees the academic, faculty, and fiscal affairs of the school.
Dr Ningbo Liao is a Full Professor at Wenzhou University. His research interests include multi-scale computation for micro/nanostructures & materials, MEMS design, gas sensor, anode materials for LIBs, evolutionary computation for optimization of materials. He has published over 80 papers in SCI journals including Journal of Materials Chemistry A, Applied Materials Today, Acta Materialia. He was lead guest editor of Advances in Mechanical Engineering and is currently an editorial board member of International Journal of Computational and Theoretical Chemistry and Journal of Chemistry (SCIREA).
Dr. Shang-hao Liu is a professor at the Anhui University of Science and Technology. His research interests and activities are in the process of safety-related fields including thermokinetic analysis, risk assessment, and prevention of fire/explosion from runaway reactions. Hitherto, he has published over 40 papers in SCI journals, which have greatly helped the industry to guaranteed safe and smooth production. He established the Research Center for Explosion Safety and Firework Materials as chief director, and is a member of State Key Laboratory of Mining Response and Disaster Prevention and Control in Deep Coal Mines of Anhui province, China.
Dr. Chengsheng Ni had been a postdoc research fellow and Ph.D. candidate at University of St Andrews under the supervision of Professor John Irvine during 2010-2016, followed by the installation of an Associate Professor at Southwest University in 2017. He spent three years at Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences as master student under Professor Yan Niu and Chaoliu Zeng immediately after finishing the undergraduate study at Wuhan University in 2007. He has worked on several topics but focused mainly on electrochemical characterization of solid-state materials, including electrochemical corrosion of metals, solid-state ionics, and photocatalysis. He published the research in the above areas in journals like Nature Communication, Journal of Materials Chemistry A and et al. He is now leading a lab based in the Testing & Analysis Center at the College of Resources and Environment, Southwest University.
Dr. Xinli Tong, Professor is mainly engaged in catalytic oxidation and biomass transformation. In 2008, he obtained the doctorate degree from Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, CAS. He is the Director of International Joint Research Center for Biomass Resources and Low Carbon Catalysis and the Deputy Director of Organic Solar Cell and Photochemical Conversion Key Laboratory in Tianjin. He served as the guest editor of Catalysis Today (SI: Biomass Valorization, 2019, volume 319). He is selected as the outstanding young researcher on science and technology of Tianjin and the first level of Tianjin “131” Innovative Scientist Training Project. Up to now, he has published 57 papers and applied for 21 invention patents.
Dr. Xueliang Wang obtained his Ph.D. from the Qingdao University of Science and Technology, Qingdao, P. R. China in the year 2009. His research interests include (a) Fabrication and application of enhanced electrochemical sensors and biosensors (b) Detection of sequence-specific DNA with electrochemical technology (c) Research of the novel detection mode based on electrochemical technology (d) Design of new instruments for detecting DNA damage and screening the toxicity of chemicals based on electrochemical technology (e) Design of electrochemical DNA sensor for detecting antioxidant activity of plant extracts. Presently, Dr. Wang is a Professor at the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Heze University, Heze, P. R. China.
Dr. Peng Yang received his Ph.D. in Dalian University of Technology (China) in 2006. Afterwards, he did his postdoc research in INSERM (France), University of Saskatchewan (Canada), University of New Orleans (USA), respectively. In 2011, he joined Shenyang Pharmaceutical University (China). He is now a Professor and Principle Investigator of Wuya College of Innovation at Shenyang Pharmaceutical University. Prof. Dr. Peng Yang has good academic records and he initiates the study on calix[n]carbazoles internationally. His recent research interests focus on the creation of complex molecular architectures, exploration of their biocompatibility as well as generation of their pharmaceutical applications.
Dr. Dan Zhang currently serves as an Associate professor at the Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica (SIMM), Chinese Academy of Sciences. Dr Zhang obtained his B.S. in chemistry from Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU) in 2011, and a PhD from East China Normal University (ECNU) in 2016. After working at ECNU and SYSU for three years, he moved to SIMM. His research mainly focuses on synthetic methodology, including the development of multicomponent reactions, carbene chemistry, and asymmetric catalysis), and new drug discovery.
Prof. Dr. Jiangwei Zhang, is research fellow from Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He is specialist in crystallography, synchrotron radiation and nanocluster chemistry. Project Leader of National Natural Science Foundation of China, National and Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility (SSRF). Member of Royal Society of Chemistry (MRSC). He has published more than 35 papers with H-index of 14. Peer reviewer of journals including nanoscale, Nano Res.,etc. Editorial Advisory Board member of Cambridge Scholars Publishing, American Journal of Physical Chemistry.
Dr. Nianbing Zhong received the Ph.D. degree from Chongqing University of China in 2013. He was a visiting scholar at the Swette Center for Environmental Biotechnology, Arizona State University, USA. He is an Associate Professor in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Chongqing University of Technology, China, and Director of Department of Optoelectronic Information Engineering. His research interests mainly focus on biochemical fiber optic sensors, photocatalytic materials, biomaterials, and bioenergy, with more than 80 journals and conference papers, and with 13 awarded patents and 12 patents pending. He is an Editorial Board of the Laser Journal of China.
