Abstract
In systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), gastrointestinal symptoms,
including nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, hematemesis, melena, ileus,
ascites, and elevated hepatic and pancreatic enzymes are frequently observed. The
gastrointestinal manifestations of SLE are diverse, including lupus peritonitis, gastritis,
acute pancreatitis, cholecystitis, and lupus enteritis. This chapter provides an overview
of the gastrointestinal manifestations of SLE.
