Abstract
The heart-to-mediastinum ratio (HMR) in planar images has been used for the evaluation of cardiac 123I-meta-iodobenzylguanidine (MIBG) uptake. However, the HMR values are influenced by both collimators and the cardiac and mediastinal regions of interests (ROI). Two technical developments in semi-automated ROI setting software and a calibration method for HMR values were described in this article.
